Tennessee claims 1st crown
DII Championships completed in Snellville
Following a close loss last night to the defending champion East Carolina Pirates the Volunteers came storming into Sunday with nothing to lose and everything to gain. With the closest loss of ECU's weekend the UT-K team felt they knew what it took to dethrone the Pirates, and they did early this afternoon at the SGAA Sportsplex in Snellville, GA.
Congratulations to the Volunteers and Pirates on strong seasons and best of luck to the teams should they be selected in the NCRHA Selection Monday meetings in March to represent the the SECRHL and their universities at the National Championships in April.
