ECRHA Inter-Regional Cup Kicks Off

With much of the country dealing with a deep freeze, it can only mean one thing: It's time for the annual ECRHA Inter-regional in Mount Pleasant, PA. The forecast for this weekend is extreme cold (at the time of writing its -2 degrees) with what looks to be a winter storm in the works as well. If that doesn't say hockey I don't know what does.

Inside the rink action should heat up right away, as games start at 7am and continue on until late into the night. The new format this year has all teams playing a double-elimination tournament with a 3 game minimum.

Lots of exciting things are planned for the weekend, thanks to the weekend's presenting sponsor Ace Jerseys. Ace will be providing the champions with customized championship sweatshirts to commemorate what should be a memorable event.

In addition to Ace Jersey's, Revision Hockey and Odor Gladiator will also be in attendance throughout the weekend. Mission Hockey will once again be sponsoring the Mission Hockey College, which will take place at noon on Saturday. Any interested players should email [email protected] to participate in what is always a great time for both the kids and the instructors.

During select games on Saturday, a special chuck-a-puck contest will be held in which several outstanding prizes will be available courtesy of Mission Hockey.

Additionally, live feeds from in the rink will be available all weekend long through our host rinks website, http://www.hotshotsarena.com. Clink on the link for “Hotshots Live” for a Bird's Eye Dual view of both rinks. For those of you who can't be at the rink, this is your way to be a part of what will truly be a historic event.
