ISCA Recap

Following the ECRHA Challenge Cup, Spring Semester play kicked off at I.S.C.A. in North Arlington, NJ. We saw teams in D1, D2, and D3, all face off and start the semester looking to make as much progress and gain as much momentum as possible heading into the Regional Championships.

In Division 1, Farmingdale (12-3-0) continued their excellent weekend. To kick off play, they comfortably shutout Hofstra 8-0, with a goal and four assists from Luc Corso, as well as 14 saves for the shutout by goaltender Dustin Muccio-Schrimpe. The Rams continued their offensive production later against Temple where they would come out victorious 8-1. To end the weekend, Hofstra did not lay down for Farmingdale, as it took two goals in the third by Luc Corso and Chris Russolello to defeat the Pride 5-3. Additionally, Temple defeated Temple in two games of their own by the scores of 10-9 (OT), and 8-5, both on Saturday to improve their record to 3-12.

Division 2 action in north Jersey was full of offense itself as Stony Brook, Delaware, Penn State, and Yeshiva traveled to ISCA. The weekend started off with Stony Brook defeating the Blue Hens of Delaware comfortably 8-1, then turning around a few hours later and shutting out the Nittany Lions 3-0. Saturday evening, The Seawolves were back at it again handling Delaware 7-2, before taking down Yeshiva Sunday morning 6-5 in Overtime.

In other D2 matchups, Penn State exploded offensively led by 5 goals and 1 assist from Tyler Murphy in a 10-2 win over Delaware, before dropping a 5-2 game to Yeshiva. Yeshiva also took down the Blue Hens 8-2 themselves Sunday morning, improving their record, and showing they mean business down the stretch.

Division 3 saw Farmingdale continue to assert their dominance across the division, with 9-0 and 9-1 victories over Hofstra, a 9-1 win against Northeastern, the Rams continue to flex their muscles and stay undefeated in D3, and have no given up an average of less than one goal per game this season.
