Slippery Rock beats Neumann in ECRHA Conference Finals.

Broomall, PA – March 1, 2025 – Slippery Rock University delivered a commanding 6-1 victory over Neumann University in the ECRHA Conference Finals at Marple Sports Arena. With a strong offensive performance and stellar goaltending, Slippery Rock secured the championship in convincing fashion.

Game Summary

Neumann started strong, taking an early lead at 11:04 of the first period when Anthony Putter capitalized on an assist from Victor Foley. Despite their initial momentum, Neumann struggled to generate offense for the remainder of the game.

Slippery Rock responded in the second period with a power-play goal from Dylan Ulrich, assisted by Irwin Hurst, at 2:06. Just minutes later, Hurst found the back of the net, assisted by Cade Wheeler. The period’s scoring concluded with Evan Barnhart’s goal, assisted by Hurst, as Slippery Rock surged to a 3-1 lead.

The third period showcased Slippery Rock’s dominance, as they netted three more goals. Barnhart scored his second goal just 12 seconds into the period. Later, Wheeler added back-to-back goals at 7:03 and 7:15, extending Slippery Rock’s advantage to 6-1.
