The 3 teams from the Western Collegiate Roller Hockey League represented well at Narch Winternationals. The 3 teams (Cal Poly Pomona, Cal Poly SLO, and Chico State) combined for a record of 7 wins and 5 losses. Chico State had a tough time in Round Robin, with 1 win and 2 losses. Cal Poly Pomona went 2-1 in Round Robin, and couldn't get past 2000 National Champion R.I.T. Cal Poly SLO made it to the semifinals, going 3-0 in Round Robin, winning their quarterfinal game, but losing in the semifinals 3-2 in a tough game against Central Florida.
This is the first time WCRHL teams have made the championship rounds. The ratio of 2 teams out of 3 in the championship round is the best by any region.
