Max is one of 6 key rookies Cortland added in the off-season. Stern plays with a killer instinct and a fight to the end mentality. While PIM's may have gotten the bets of him in the past, he comes to Cortland with a focus to win and stay out of the box. Max's debut for Cortland cannot come sooner as the Red Dragons have sorely missed playing with such a force on the rink.
Stern comes to Cortland seeking a degree in Physical Education.
