After completing the preseason with a 0-3-0 record, Cornell knew they would need to find some offense to start the season on a positive note. Kenneth Bogart provided that spark by scoring 11 goals and adding 5 assists for a 16 point weekend as Cornell finished the weekend 3-1-0.
Against Rutgers, Bogart got off to a great start, registering a hat trick before the end of the first period. Bogart added 2 more goals in the second period, helping Cornell to a 6-1 lead. Cornell would go on to win 8-1 as Bogart finished with 5 goals.
Things got tougher for Cornell in the second game of the weekend as they took on unbeaten Ramapo. However, Bogart was up to the task. Bogart scored twice and added two assists as Ramapo jumped out to a 4-0 lead. Ramapo tried to fight back, but Cornell held them off for a 6-2 victory.
