ECRHA  October 14th, 2013 at 4:00PM  October 21st, 2013 3:47AM

Niagara University made the long trip to Philadelphia this past weekend and they came shorthanded. With only four players and a goalie, Niagara managed to go 3-0-0 on the weekend, defeating Cornell (6-1), Kutztown (7-3) and Slippery Rock (4-2).

With only four skaters, Niagara needed a big weekend from goaltender Patrick Jankowski. Jankowski responded in kind, posting a 3-0-0 record while stopping 59 of 65 shots for a .908 save percentage. Jankowski's goal against average of 2.00 is tops in the league after the weekend.

Jankowski came up biggest for Niagara in the final game of the weekend against Slippery Rock, who entered the weekend undefeated. Jankowski turned aside 24 of 26 shots in picking up a win in the tightest game of the weekend. With the game tied 2-2 heading into the third period, Jankowski was the difference, turning aside all 11 shots he faced. Despite only managing 3 shots, Niagara scored twice for the final 4-2 margin.

Jankowski is the first person from Niagara University to earn the ECRHA Player of the Week Honors.
