Pittsburgh Rolls Over Binghamton
Clinches 2010-2011 Regular Season Championship

Harrisburg, Pa - Mark Schmidt fired in a rebound at the side of the net on the power play to spark a three goal first period as Pittsburgh skated past Binghamton and clinched the regular season championship with a 10-1victory.
The regular season title is the first in school history and ensure that the Panthers (13-1-3) will have the top seed for the 2010-2011 ECRHA Regional Championships.
Matthew Wojcik and Carlin Crombie scored two goals early in the first period of the game to stake Pittsburgh to 3-0 lead with the game only 5:31 old.
Jon-Paul DiMarco cut the Pittsburgh lead to 3-1, when he scored Binghamton only goal of the frame. Binghamton was controlling the play with a 5-4 advantage on a delayed call against Pitt before DiMarco found the back of the net for the tally.
Just 1:57 into the second period, John Brownschidle erased the late Binghamton tally with a mark of his own, stretching Pittsburgh's lead to 4-1.
The second period concluded like the first period began as Pittsburgh scored three goals in the final 1:51. Matthew Wojcik scored his second of the game on a power play before Ralph DeStefano and Carlin Crombie scored to give Pitt the 7-1 lead after two periods of play.
Mark Schmidt, Carlin Crombie and John Brownschidle added third period tallies for Pittsburgh.
