Division 1:
Lindenwood’s Division 1 team has started exactly how they wanted.  Not only are they perfect with 10 wins and 0 losses, but they are a perfect 3-0 against their rival University of Missouri – St. Louis.  The Lions seem to get better every time they touch the floor.  In the first game against the defending national champion Tritons; it was a close game all the way through.  Lead change after lead change, but Lindenwood pulled it out in the end with two unanswered goals and beat UMSL 6-4.  In the second meeting, the Lions dominated for most of the game and went on to win 8-4.  In the final meeting before Christmas break the Lions dominated the Tritons with a 9-1 win at Midwest Sports Hockey.  The Lions seem to be on track as they work to get back on top as the NCRHA Division 1 National Champions.

The D1 Lions top performers in the first half were assistant captains Michael Inouye (16G, 23A, 39PTS), Kyle Gouge (20G, 6A, 26PTS), and goaltender Dave Thomas (5-0, 3.00GAA, .833%).

Lindenwood’s Division 1 team will return to action January 29th-31st.

B-Gold:

Lindenwood’s top B team went undefeated in the first half with an 11-0-1 record.  The B-Gold Lions true test was against St. Louis Community College – Meramec JC.  It was a great contest as the Lions would grab a point from Meramec’s varsity team in a 4-4 tie.  “It’s good for us to play varsity teams throughout the year; no matter what the outcome, we learn something from those games,” Coach Hilke said.  The B-Gold Lions look to stay as the NCRHA National Champions.  Since the development of the “B-Division”, Lindenwood is the only school to take home the crown.

The B-Gold Lions top performers in the first half were freshman forward Daniel Inouye (11G, 20A, 31PTS), assistant captain Patrick Fuist (17G, 14A, 22PTS), and goaltender Andrew Cornish (4-0, .50GAA, .929%).

The Lindenwood Roller Hockey Program would also like to congratulate senior defensemen Andy Zilch as he will be graduating in December.  Good Luck to him and thank you for the commitment and effort you put into our program.

Lindenwood’s B-Gold team will return to action January 29th-31st.

B-Black:

The B-Black Lions had a solid start to the year with an 8-4-0 record for the first half.  Though the Lions looked to be struggling towards the end, they had a promising game against St. Charles Community College JC that ended in a 9-5 loss.”We really played well in the game against St. Charles varsity team; it showed what we can do when everything is going right,” Coach Jones said.  The B-Black Lions tended to play down to their competition, but are more than capable of staying near the top of the b-division standings.  Their schedule was a bit tougher than others as they played both St. Charles and Meramec’s varsity teams.”We struggled a bit towards the end of the first semester,” Coach Jones said, “ but we had a lot tougher schedule as well.”

The B-Black Lions top performers in the first half were junior defensemen Brandon Boshears (14G, 8A, 22PTS), assistant captain Chris Atteberry (9G, 6A, 15PTS), and senior Drew Tustin (9G, 6A, 15PTS).

The Lindenwood Roller Hockey Program would also like to congratulate senior Drew Tustin as he will be graduating in December.  The program will also be losing Clayton Hadden as he will be moving to Colorado for a job opportunity.  Good Luck to them and thank you for the commitment and effort you put into our program.

Lindenwood's B-Black team will return to action January 29th-31st.
