Division II Championship: Neumann vs West Chester

Feasterville, PA- West Chester used goals from a variety of different players en route to a dominating 8-2 victroy in the ECRHA DII Semifinal.
Cameron Rowand got things started on a positive note for the Rowan Profs, giving Rowan the early 1-0 advantage which they held until just under thirty seconds remaining when WCU knotted the game at one.
The second period was all West Chester from there, Bob McLaughlin got the lead for WCU just a few minutes into the period. Things stayed that way until just about six miuntes remaining in the period when James Shaffer buried an Eric Keene feed, shorthanded, for the 3-1 lead that the Golden Rams would never relinquish.
Adam St. Clair, Bob McLaughlin, Jon Edwards and Brian Ems added goals before the end of the period for West Chester and Eric Jones scored the only tally for Rowan. What was a 2-1 game just six minutes before turned into an insurmountable 7-2 lead for West Chester after two periods of play.
West Chester added a goal in the third period for the final margin and advance to the first championship game in school histroy since 2001 when the Golden Rams fell victum to Binghamton 4-3.
In the other semifinal, Neumann lead from start to finish en route to a 6-1 victory over Brockport to advance to the championship game for the seventh consecutive season. Neumann won last years final 6-1 against Albany in claiming the third regional championship in school history (2004, 2006, 2008)
