Sean Sheridan's 6 Point Night Leads Way

With the win, the Raiders(6-2-1) have now won three games in a row and have a chance for their first four game weekend sweep since Feb 12-13 2005. With the loss, Albany’s (1-4-2) losing streak now stands at three games.
Anderson (6-2-1) earned the victory in net for the Raiders making 18 saves on 22 shots. Charles Farrell (1-4-2) made 38 stops on 45 shots for the Great Danes in the defeat.
Tom Cavanaugh (2g,2a) scored a pair of power play tallies in the first period to stake the Raiders to a 3-1 intermission lead. The power play goals were sandwiched around a pair of goals by Jeff Kulp (1g,2a) and John Russo (1g).
Brian D’Alesandro (1g) scored for the second straight game, depositing a rebound off a Matt Fagioli shot just 1:42 into the second period. Only 29 seconds later, Albany reponded with a great sequence that ended with Nick Iuliucci (2g) finding the back of the net and cutting the Raiders lead to 4-2.
Wilson Schmidt (1g) scored just ten second into the third period to keep the pressure on the Raiders and cut the lead to 4-3.
Sean Sheridan responed by setting up Kyle Grizzard (1g) for a nice deflection while skating 3 on 3 and then scoring shorthanded 51 seconds later to extend the lead back to three goals.
Albany would not go quietly, scoring 18 second later on the power play when Nick Iuliucci beat a sprawling Anderson over the pads and cutting the lead to 6-4.
Sean Sheridan would then end any hopes of a comeback with a power play tally at the 10:27 mark of the third period.
