Shippensburg Blows Past Boston 11-0
Wins Second Straight Game

schools, Shippensburg received goals from seven different
players and Tlyer Anderson made 15 saves
for the shutout in a 11-0 win over the Boston
Terriers.
The win was the second in a row for the Raiders (5-2-1).
With the loss, Boston (2-3-1) has now three games in a row after starting the
season on a three game unbeaten streak.
Anderson (5-2-1) earned his league leading
second shutout of the season in turning away 15 shots. Joseph Stucker
(2-3-1) made 30 saves for Boston, but allowed 11 goals in the defeat.
Jeff Kulp (2g,2a) and Sean Sheridan (3g,2a) both scored a
pair of goals during a six-goal outburst during the first period. Brian D’Alesandro
(2g) and Kyle Grizzard (1g,2a) both added tallies in the first as well.
Nate Barr (2a) set up George Gallen (1g) and Bob Hilton (1g)
early in the second period to extend the lead to 8-0. The NCRHA uses an 8-goal
mercy rule that would keep the clock running for the remaining of the game and
allowing the Raiders to conseve enegry for their next contest. D’Alesandro and
Sean Sheridan would add tallies in the closing moments of the period for a 10-0
lead at the end of two.
Tom Cavanaugh (1g,2a) scored the lone third period tally for
the Raiders.
Game Notes: Shippensburg scored a season high 11 goals
in the victory. The previous high was 7, twice against Binghamton…Shippensburg
outshot Boston 41-15…Shippensburg was 0 for 3 with the man advantage. Boston
was 0 for 1.
