A New Semester
Weekend #3
GPCIHL January 22nd, 2008 at 1:37AM February 13th, 2008 1:45AMThe Bears came into the second semester revived and
refreshed. After losing Josh Wilkes and Paul McIntyre, the Bears were blessed
with the return of Pete Chilcutt. Chilcutt, who departed for UMSL for a
semester, was often seen in Springfield near the Skateland rink during
the fall stirring rumors of his imminent return. The second semester
began with the rekindling of an earlier battle with Truman State. The
Bears held a 2-1 edge late into the third period lead by Chilcutt,
Vasquez and freshman phenom Cory Crump. However, Truman State tied the
game 2-2 late were it ultimately ended. Visions of a rematch not
ending in a tie in the Regional finals began to be pondered immediately
thereafter.
