Three Raiders Named to All-Star Team

Bryan Lowe is one of two starters for the southern at
forward; Victor Scotto (Neumann College) is the other starter. Lowe has
register 11 goals and 9 assists for 20 points in 13 games for Shippensburg this
season, including an astonishing 9 power play goals. Lowe just needs 2 points
in the second half of the season to set a new career high.
Tom Cavanaugh is one of two starters for the southern team
at defense; Andrew Nguyen (Drexel University) is the other starter. Tom
Cavanaugh has registered 10 goals and 14 assists to lead the Raiders in regular
season scoring with 24 points. Cavanaugh has been a leader for the Raiders
since his first day with the team and was named alternate captain for the
second half of the season.
Sean Sheridan was named to the all-star team as a freshman,
just the second player in school history to receive the honor. Sheridan currently
leads Division II nationally with an amazing 23 assists. Sheridan could set the
Raiders single season record, currently 43 by Tommy Hagg in 2005-2006, if he
can continue to distribute the puck in the second half of the season.
William Bourque was named one of the three coaches for the
southern team in his first year serving as coach. Bourque has guided the
Raiders to a 9-5-0 start. The Raiders have already eclipsed their win total
from last season and are in good position to be the first ever Keystone
Conference champions if they can hold Temple and Slippery Rock off in the
second semester.
Tyler Anderson was the only Raider on the ballot who wasn’t
voted into the All-Star. Anderson split time with starter Steve Parker in the
first semester, but still managed to get consideration for the game. Tyler is
on pace to set team records for GAA, Save % and SO for the Raiders, all in his
first season with the Raiders after transferring from West Virginia after his
freshman year.
