Dukes Finding Their Game
ECRHA December 12th, 2005 at 7:25AMDuquesne, starting the season off at a dismal 2-5, began the season unprepared to win. The past weekend in Harrisburg looked to be another gloomy weekend as Duquesne would miss 5 top roster players due to saturday finals with its most difficult weekend of competition. However short-handed and missing depth, the Dukes managed to clawed out a 2-1-1 record dealing #1 ranked Neumann Knights their first regular season loss in nearly 2 years. An undefeated weekend looked probable as Duquesne lead the undefeated Golden Eagles of Brockport through 2 periods of play. But a short bench and lack of drinkable water in Harrisburg took its toll as Brockport crushed an exhausted 3rd period Duquesne team to come out with a 10-6 win. Duquesne looks to improve their playoff chances as they face Temple, Cornell, and PSU New Kensington at Williamsport in the first tournament of the 2nd semester.
