North Arlington, NJ - In the shadow of New York City, the RIT Tigers entered their first contest as a nationally ranked team and squared off against the 12th ranked Enidcott Gulls.

The Tigers didn't play like underdogs, jumping all over the Gulls early and outshooting them 15-6 in the first period.

Things didn't go their way in the second period as Endicott capatlized on the few chances they had to build a 3-1 lead.

The Tigers used a power play in the third period to get the offense going as Kyle Lewandowski fired a laser short side to cut the lead in half.

Natinel May tied things late with an excellent solo, end-to-end rush to send things to overtime.

After a back and forth overtime that saw multiple chances, Lewandowski fired home his second of the game with 10.4 seconds reamining to seal the upset.

Matthew Klarnet did everything he could in net for the Gulls, stopping 44 of 48 shots in the contest, while being named the first star of the game.
